How it works

Each answer scores Yes = 2, Partly = 1, No = 0. Your score is the share of the maximum, from 0 to 100%. Category bars use the same maths within Team, Product & Traction, Market, Financials & Metrics, and Fundraising Materials & Strategy.

Bands follow the dating metaphor from The Fundraising Game: 0–40% “First date too early”, 41–70% “Getting to know each other”, 71–100% “Ready to meet the parents”. Your top three gaps are the questions you answered No first, then Partly.

Frequently asked questions

How accurate is a self-assessment quiz?

As accurate as your honesty. The questions mirror what an early-stage investor checks in the first two meetings, so a “Partly” you are unsure about is usually a “No” in the room.

What score do I need before I start fundraising?

Above 70% you can run a focused process. Between 41 and 70% you can raise, but fixing your top gaps first usually saves months and improves terms.

Is my data stored?

No. Answers stay in your browser. Only if you choose to leave your email do we receive that email address.

Does this work for pre-seed as well as seed?

Yes. Pre-seed investors weigh team and market more; seed investors expect traction and metrics. The category bars show where you stand on each.
